3 Things to Love About Fall
Fall is one of those seasons that everyone looks forward to each year. Between the fun autumn clothes and everything pumpkin, there are so many things to love about this time of year. If you’re still on the fence about whether or not fall is your favorite season, then check out these three reasons that make fall one of the most enjoyable seasons.
Hot Apple Cider
It may seem like the pumpkin flavor is on display everywhere you turn, but pumpkin isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. However, apple cider is a drink that hardly anyone can deny. On its own, apple cider is fresh and flavorful, but when you add spices like cloves, cinnamon, and fresh oranges, and you heat it on the stove, you get a drink that fills your stomach with a warm and happy feeling that you can’t help but enjoy.
During the warmer months of the year, you may turn to lighter foods such as salads and sandwiches to help stave off the food coma. After all, a food coma combined with the heat is just a recipe for a nap, and that’s not always possible in the middle of the day.
That being said, during the colder months of the year, you need foods that will keep you warm, which is why you automatically lean towards heartier, more comforting foods as your meal of choice. Food like soups, chili, and chicken pot pie are all comforting foods that will warm your stomach and leave you feeling full and satisfied.
Summer and winter are both seasons where the temperatures are on the extreme ends of the spectrum. Either you’re uncomfortable in the heat during the summer or piling on the layers to stay warm during the winter. Fall, on the other hand, is perfectly in the middle — it’s warm enough that you don’t need a lot of layers, but cold enough that you’re not uncomfortable in long sleeves and pants.
